What I Got For Christmas

Hey everyone!

I know this kind of posts are very controversial, but I'm not bragging about what I was given - I'm just letting my followers know what I got this year... and I know it's a bit late now, but I wasn't sure whether to post or not! Anyway, I'll stop rambling...
First of all, I got the Nars Danmari Palette which I have wanted for months!

Top (left to right) Hungry Hearts highlighter, Orgasm, Desire
Bottom (left to right) Casino, Super Orgasm, Sin
I have already used all the colours in this palette and they are all so easy to wear - even for someone as pale as me! I especially love the Casino bronzer for contouring.

The next thing I got was the Marc Jacobs Daisy shower gel.

Daisy by Marc Jacobs shower gel
I love all the Marc Jacobs scents and Daisy was the first one I ever bought. I love the scent and I'm so happy to have the shower gel so I can layer the scents with my Daisy perfume as well. I am really looking forward to using it!

I also got an OPI mini set from the Touring America collection:

Left to right: My Address is 'Hollywood', French Quarter For Your Thoughts, A-taupe The Space Needle, Honk If You Love OPI
I have French Quarter For Your Thoughts on my nails at the moment and I love it! It's such a pretty, light grey which is perfect for this time of year. I can't wait to try out the other three in this little set.

The last thing I got was the OPI Correct & Clean Up pen:
OPI Correct&Cleanup
This is such a good idea because it has such a thin tip, it's so easy to get to the edge of the nail to remove any smudges that have been left from painting the nail. It's also really handy to clean up the cuticle so you get a perfect, crisp line.

That's everything I got for Christmas this year (other than a super soft Gucci scarf) and I'm so happy with everything I got! I'd love to hear what you got, so leave me a comment below? Don't forget to follow the blog with the link on the side and tweet me at www.twitter.com/celestecohen?

Go Girl Fashion Fixes!

Hey girls!

Today I want to tell you about a company called http://www.gogirlfashionfixes.com/. They sell products that every girl needs and carries around in her handbag... except in prettier packaging! Go Girl Fashion Fixes are an American company that have been featured in magazines such as Teen Vogue and have made appearances on America's Next Top Model but they do ship world wide!

I'd like to think of this company as the Benefit of the girly products world - they use cute names and everything is packaged in adorable, novelty tins! So without further ado, I'll tell you a bit about the products:

Lint-on-the-go-Sheets:
In this packet, you get 20 individual sheets of lint tape which are the perfect size to carry around in your bag... and they're way more convenient than carrying around a whole lint roller with you! 1 packet is $12 or you can get 3 packets for $26 which would save you $10!

The Smudge-Sponge:
Have you ever been out and realised you have white marks all over your top from your deodorant? If you carry one of these in your bag, you can use it dry and get rid of all those nasty marks without soaking yourself! This little basket comes with 4 sponges and each one will last for up to 3 months. It costs $15 for an entire years worth of sponges so that's a pretty good deal, isn't it? :)

CHIC Apparel Tape:
So, in this adorable little tin, you get 36 strips of clear, double sided tape to fix annoying bra straps, low cut dresses, fallen hems, missing buttons and anything else that could possibly go wrong with your clothes! The tin is small enough to fit into a bag, or even a clutch so you'll never have an embarrassing 'boob exposure' situation again! This product is $9.50, and you can even keep the tin to refill!

Emergency Kit:
This is a mini survival kit which contains everything that a girl could possibly need in any given situation! It contains a pair of BUG'N-Out Nipple Concealers, 2 strips of Hem-Help tape, gauze wrap and clasps, cotton, scissors, first aid tape, cotton buds, antiseptic wipes, plasters and a built in pill bottle. Once you've used up the things in this kit, you can easily buy refills on the website or just fill it with your own, customised emergency supplies. This kit costs $15 and it's something every girl needs!

Holiday Season Kit:
As it's nearly Christmas and we're all off doing our shopping and going to parties and dinners, this tin has everything we need to survive the holiday season! You get a whopping 19 products in the reusable metal bucket: A bag hanger, Post-it notes, a tampon, tissues, an umbrella (essential in this British weather!!), sewing kit, mirror, comb, passport cover, pain reliever, make up wipe, Dove deodorant, a sachet of hot chocolate, Vaseline, 4 strips of CHIC Apparel Tape, 4 sheets of Lint-on-the-go, 4 strips of Hem-Help, a pair of BUG'N-Out nipple concealers and a smudge sponge. So you get all of that, for $55 - perfect for this time of year!

My Wish List!

Hello everyone, I know I've been slacking with the blog and I am sooo sorry! But, my giveaway will be up next week, as promised, I will have a Glossy Box review and the most exciting: a report from my first ever blogging event! Woohoo!

Anyway, since we're fast approaching Christmas, I thought I'd share with you a few things I've been lusting after, but I can't afford, or I just can't justify buying it for myself before Xmas! Anyway, hope my little list of lusts will give you all some inspiration on gift ideas or what to put in your letter to Santa!

1. The new Nars Danmari All About Cheeks Pallete
Top: (from left to right) The left side of the Hungry Hearts Duo, Orgasm, Desire
Bottom: (from left to right) Casino, Super Orgasm, Sin
For £45, you get 6 blushes at 3/4 size, which is pretty good value! However, it's stll £45 that I don't have to spend on this big pallete of lovelyness! :(   If I don't get this for Christmas, I will definitely be treating myself because it's limited edition and I love it!

2. The Urban Decay Naked Pallete

Yes, I know I am seriously late on the band wagon to get this! I have been wanting this for a year - since it came out! Every time I tried to order it, it was out of stock and I can't get it in a shop near me either :(   It's £35 for 12 shadows - and who doesn't love a pallete full of shimmery and satiny neutrals anyway!?

3. The last thing on my list is a MAC gift card. I already treated myself to the holiday collection, so a MAC gift card will allow me to pick a few nice treats for myself during the next few months. I love the idea of giftcards because you don't have to spend them all at once! Who says Christmas has to end at midnight 25th December when you can still be getting presents in March!

Thanks for reading everyone, don't forget to follow! Tweet me @ www.twitter.com/celestecohen or use the gadget in the side bar ----->

What's on your wish list this year? Let me know in the comments!

Lots of love,

MAC Glitter and Ice Haul and Review!

Hey everyone, I'm so sorry for being MIA lately; I've just been so busy with exams lately, but hopefully I'll get back into the swing of things soon! :)

I was so excited to see that the MAC holiday collection is finally out, so as soon as it was out, I made my order. I decided to get one of the gift sets because it came with a snowglobe pallet, a lipstick, a lipglass, 3 short handled brushes and quite a cute little make up bag. I thought this was quite a good selection of products and was great value for £42.50, which by MAC standards is cheap!!

All the packaging from this collection is white, which I'm not too keen on because it gets dirty SO easily, and I love the original, sleek and professional looking, black packaging. It just looks more classy, in my opinion.

The first product from the 'warm' Glitter and Ice set is a snowglobe inspired pallet. I think the top is quite cute with the glitter snowglobe. It's quite a novelty for Christmas time.

The snowglobe pallet
Anyway, this pallet came with 4 square eye shadows and a blush. Two of the shadows are permanent: Omega and Carbon, but I think these are staples in anybody's MAC collection as they're perfect for any neutral look. The two new shades are golden flurry and soft brown, which I think are really nice as well.

Top (left to right) Golden Flurry, Soft Brown
Bottom (left to right) Omega, Carbon
Golden Flurry is the only non-matte shade in this pallet. It's a frosty pink lustre which makes a really pretty highlight colour with a matte eye or a slightly sparkly lid colour - I like it both ways!

Soft Brown is a terracotta toned brown; it definitely has orange undertones and tt's a matte shadow. I really like this as a crease colour because it's not your average dark brown. It looks good as an outer corner colour as well - I like to use it to smoke out a lighter brown to add a bit of depth to my eye.

Omega is part of the permanent line and is a matte, pale brown. I love this as a lid colour because it's not too dramatic, so you can really play up the crease or the outer corner, which I love to do. I already have this in pot form, but this is great for travelling with, and it means I won't need to get a back up yet!

The last shadow is Carbon, which we all know is a matte black. I like to use this to smudge into my lash line to give me a really soft line when I don't want a really crisp liner. I think a matte black is a staple in any girl's make up collection, as it's really useful and versatile!

The blush on the left is Seasonal Appeal.

The blush which is hidden under the shadows is a matte shade called seasonal appeal. It's an orange toned, VERY sheer blush, which I'm not too impressed with, to be honest. I'm sure it would look lovely on darker skin tones, but as I'm so pale, it just makes me look dirty. I will, however, try and use it as a contour bronzer as it's so smooth and I don't want to waste it.

Frost Lipstick in Mellowarm

Frost Lipstick in Mellowarm
This lipstick, Mellowarm, is again an orange toned red. It's a really good colour for winter because it's dark-ish, but not unwearable. I find the formula of this quite drying, but under a lipstick, it's not too bad. It's easy to build this from a light coat right up to a strong red colour. I wore it to school today and to a party at the weekend, so this is good for all occasions, I think!

Lipglass in Join The Party
This is an orangey-brown lipglass, which looks like nothing in the bottle, but on the lips and over the lipstick, it's actually really nice! I don't usually go for brown toned colours for my lips, but I love this! It really improves the finish of the lipstick and looks good on its own too. As usual for MAC, it's quite a sticky texture, but I don't mind too much, as it can always be reapplied anyway, right?

Left - Join The Party Lipglass
Right - Mellowarm Lipstick

Left to Right - 275SE, 266SE, 129SE
I already have all these brushes full sized, but I think these are really handy to have a back up of. The 266 is my all-time favourite brow brush, the 129 is quite nice for blush details and the 275 is great for crease details! They're really good quality brushes, as usual for MAC and getting extra brushes in a set is never a bad thing..

Make up bag
Ths is the clear, plastic make up bag it all came in. I quite like the silver pocket on the front, I think that would be quite handy for tools etc.

Overall, this is a really nice set and would make a perfect present to anyone (including yourself) and is really good value! The rest of the collection is nice if you like frosty, cool tones which are quite appropriate for winter.

Thanks for reading everyone, let me know what you want/have got from this collection or what you think about it!
Lots of love,
Celeste xxx
